Throttle Cable
- Check that throttle cable operates properly with no binding or sticking. Check throttle cable free play at throttle linkage. Cable free play should be 0.40-0.50" (10-12 mm). If free play is not within specification, loosen lock nut and turn adjusting nut until free play is at specification. See Fig 1 .
- With cable properly adjusted, check throttle valve to ensure it opens fully when accelerator is depressed. Check throttle valve to ensure it returns when accelerator is released.
