Cooling Fan Motor Relay

  1. Relay is located in relay box behind left side of radiator. Remove relay. Check continuity between relay terminals "B" and "C." See Fig 1 . Ensure continuity exists. Check continuity between relay terminals "A" and "C". Continuity should not exist. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
  2. Using a fused jumper wires, connect 12-volt battery power and ground to terminals "D" and "E". Check continuity between relay terminals "B" and "C." Continuity should not exist. Check continuity between relay terminals "A" and "C". Ensure continuity exists. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
