Removal & Installation: Starter: Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal. Ensure the crimped side of the ring terminal is facing out. See Figure .
  2. Connect the battery positive cable and negative cable to the battery.
  3. Start the engine to ensure the starter works properly.
  4. Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, enter the customer's radio station presets.
  5. Perform the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure, and the power window control unit reset procedure. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
