Throttle Position Switch Adjustment

  1. Remove connector from throttle position switch. Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between center terminal of switch (Orange or Brown/Orange wire of connector) and end terminal of switch (Brown/Blue wire of connector) with throttle at closed (idle) position.
  2. Check for continuity between center terminal of switch (Orange or Brown/Orange wire of connector) and remaining end terminal of switch (Brown/Black wire of connector) with throttle fully opened.
  3. If continuity does not exist in both conditions, loosen switch retaining screws and rotate switch until continuity exists at proper locations.
