Programming New Module

NOTE: New modules are unprogrammed. New module must be programmed with code that matches customer's key for PASS-Key II(R) operation. New module can only be programmed once.
  1. To program a NEW theft deterrent module, install new module onto vehicle. Insert customer's key into ignition key lock cylinder and turn to RUN position. Start engine to verify operation.
  2. Observe PASSKEY/SECURITY indicator. PASSKEY/SECURITY indicator should illuminate for about 5 seconds and go out. If PASSKEY/SECURITY indicator flashes one flash per second and engine starts, check wiring, contacts to key resistance pellet, and key for defects or intermittents. Repair or replace as necessary. Repeat procedure because module did not program key code.
