Compass Calibration

Before calibrating compass, drive vehicle to an area that is magnetically clean (free of large metallic objects). Ensure there are no magnetic objects inside or outside of vehicle close to mirror.

1. Start engine.
2. Press and hold both map light switches or on/off switch on OnStar(R) controls (if equipped) until letter "C" is displayed.
3. Drive vehicle in circles at a speed of less than 5 MPH until "C" is replaced by a proper vehicle heading. Calibration procedure is now complete.
