Removal & Installation: Generator: Installation

  1. Position generator near wiring harness connector and battery positive lead.
  2. Connect battery positive lead to generator and install the generator output BAT terminal nut. Tighten nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Tighten the generator output BAT terminal nut to 111 inch. lbs. (12.5 N.m).
  3. Press protective boot on to generator output BAT terminal.
  4. Connect wiring harness connector to generator.
  5. Position generator to mounting features on engine.
  6. Install generator mounting bolt. Tighten generator mounting bolts to 26 ft. lbs (35 N.m).
  7. Install drive belt tensioner.
  8. Install intake air resonator.
  9. Connect battery negative cable.
