Removal & Installation: Generator: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Remove intake air resonator.
  3. Remove drive belt and drive belt tensioner.
  4. Remove generator mounting bolts.
  5. Lift generator off of the mounting features on the engine to gain access to the connector and generator output BAT terminal nut.
  6. Disconnect wiring harness connector from the generator.
  7. Reposition the protective boot from the generator output BAT terminal for access.
  8. Remove generator output BAT terminal nut and disconnect battery positive lead from generator.
  9. Remove generator from engine.
