WARNING: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Warning . WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . Preliminary Procedures Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove instrument panel center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Cadillac) or Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Except Cadillac) .
1	Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Bolt (Qty: 4)
2	Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Tip: Using a plastic flat-bladed tool, pull up on module to disengage retainers. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Fully deploy the module before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping .

Tip:

Using a plastic flat-bladed tool, pull up on module to disengage retainers.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Fully deploy the module before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping .
