Ignition System: Overhaul: Distributor: Disassembly
- Remove distributor. Remove distributor cap and rotor. Remove ignition coil dust cover. Remove wires from ignition coil. Remove 4 ignition coil mounting screws. Disconnect wire from module. Remove module.
- Pry signal rotor and spring off shaft, using screwdriver. Remove vacuum advance. Remove breaker plate and pick-up coil from distributor. Remove governor springs. Remove grease stopper and screw from distributor shaft.
- Remove signal rotor shaft. Remove "C" clip and governor weights. If drive gear needs to be removed, grind head of retaining pin, using a grinder. Remove pin and gear.
