Installation Procedure

  1. Install the J 39363 to the actuator.

    IMPORTANT: When installing the bypass valve actuator to the supercharger, rotate the assembly until the bypass valve shaft lever comes in contact with the stop block.
  2. Rotate the actuator until the rod engages the lever.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bypass valve actuator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Remove the J 39363.
  5. Install the vacuum hoses to the bypass actuator.
  6. Install the boost control solenoid. Refer to Boost Control Solenoid Replacement .
  7. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
