Spark Test

  1. Remove spark plug from engine. Reconnect spark plug to spark plug wire. Ground spark plug against good engine ground.
  2. Crank engine and check for spark. If weak, intermittent or no spark exists, replace spark plug and recheck spark. If weak, intermittent or no spark still exists, check spark plug wire resistance, ignition coil resistance and ignition power transistor.
