Trouble Shooting

Check the following items before proceeding with testing:

• Check battery for state of charge.
• Check cable connections at battery and starter motor.
• Ensure transmission is fully engaged in Park or Neutral, or clutch pedal is fully depressed.
• Check fuse No. 10 (20-amp) in instrument panel fuse panel.
• On models equipped anti-theft system, ensure anti-theft system is operating properly (horn honks, lights flash, etc.) See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM - PASSIVE article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for additional information.
