Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Remove the LH front muffler.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "MUFFLER ")

  3. Remove the knock sensor bracket after loosening the mounting bolt (A).

  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).
  5. Remove the installation bolt (B), and then vertically remove the sensor from the transaxle housing.
