Idle Speed

Ensure transmission is in Park or Neutral position and parking brake is set. Warm engine to operating temperature and turn all accessories off. Ensure emission control system wire connectors and hoses are properly connected.
Attach tachometer and increase engine speed to at least 1500 RPM and return to idle. If idle is NOT within specification, see IDLE SPEED SPECIFICATIONS table.
Turn idle speed adjusting screw on throttle lever to obtain correct idle speed. See Fig 1 . Ensure ignition timing is correct. See IGNITION TIMING SPECIFICATIONS table.
