Steering Wheel: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Route inflator module and horn wires from clockspring through steering wheel. See Fig 2. Ensure reference marks are aligned. Tighten steering wheel nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Fit inflator module on steering wheel and install mounting bolts. Ensure inflator module is aligned. Route inflator module harness neatly on back of module. See Figure. Tighten air bag inflator module bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect 2 horn wire connectors. Reconnect negative battery cable. Enable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
