Starter Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure (see USING THE GR8 BATTERY DIAGNOSTIC STATION ).
  2. Remove the air cleaner (see AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Disconnect the positive starter cable (A) and the harness connector (B) from the S terminal, then remove the heater hose bracket (C).

  4. Remove the two bolts securing the starter, then remove the starter.
