Charge Indicator Always On

  1. Did you perform the Engine Electrical Diagnostic System Check? If yes, go to next step. If no, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ENGINE ELECTRICAL .
  2. Start the engine. Does the battery charge indicator remain illuminated after the 5-second bulb check? If yes, go to next step. If no, problem is intermittent.
  3. Install a scan tool. With a scan tool, observe the Battery Voltage parameter in the Instrument Panel Cluster data list. Does the voltage measure within 10-15 V? If yes, go to next step. If no, go to Charging System Test in GENERATORS & REGULATORS .
  4. Replace the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Panels . Did you complete the replacement? If yes, go to next step.
  5. Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition? If yes, system is okay. If no, go to step  2.
