Brush Replacement

NOTE: Brushes that are worn out or oil soaked should be replaced.
  1. Crush worn out brush with pliers, taking care not to damage pigtail.
  2. Sand pigtail end with sandpaper to ensure good soldering.
  3. Insert pigtail into hole provided in the new brush and solder pigtail into position. Ensure that pigtail and excess solder do not come out onto brush surface. See Fig 1 .
  4. When replacing ground brush, slide brush from brush holder by prying retaining spring back.
