Coolant Temperature Sensor (XJS)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect coolant temperature sensor connector. Sensor is located in coolant housing on right side of engine. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance across sensor terminals. At given temperature, resistance should be as specified. See the COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE (XJS) table. Replace sensor if resistance is not as specified.
