Repair Procedures: Installation

NOTE:
  • If the variable force solenoid valve is drop, do not reuse.
  • When installing the variable force solenoid valve, be sure to note following.
    1. After replacing the O-ring (A), apply an engine oil to new O-ring (A).

    2. After pushing the variable force solenoid valve (VFS) to the end of timing chain cover mounting surface, tighten the bolt slightly, not perfectly.
    3. Tighten the variable force solenoid valve with specified torque.
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
