Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Disconnect the ECM connector (A).

  5. Remove the ECM bracket assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolt and nuts.

  6. Remove the ECM after loosening the mounting nuts and screw.
