No-Load Test
CAUTION:
DO NOT operate starter motor for more than 3-5 seconds.
Connect battery and ammeter to starter. Refer to step No. 4 in illustration. See Figure or Figure . Starter armature should rotate smoothly and steadily. Amperage draw should be within specification. See NO-LOAD TEST SPECIFICATIONS table.
