Removal & Installation: Starter

  1. Disconnect battery cables.
  2. Remove battery.
  3. Remove air cleaner inlet assembly.
  4. Remove air cleaner assembly with hose.
  5. Remove air cleaner bracket.
  6. Remove air cleaner inlet No. 1.
  7. Disconnect starter connector.
  8. Remove nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal No. 30.
  9. Remove 2 bolts and remove starter motor.
  10. To install starter motor, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
