  3. VOLTAGE METER
    Fig 5: Identifying Voltage Meter
    G05754694Courtesy of © TOYOTA, LICENSE AGREEMENT TMS1002
    1. The voltage meter displays the battery voltage using one bar If the battery voltage is too low (below 10 V), the first bar will blink to inform the driver If the voltage is too high (17 V or higher), the seventh bar will blink. When turning the engine switch on (IG), the meter CPU determines the battery voltage based on the power source voltage supplied to it
  4. ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Fig 6: Identifying Engine Oil Temperature Gauge
    G05754695Courtesy of © TOYOTA, LICENSE AGREEMENT TMS1002
    1. The meter CPU uses the engine oil temperature sensor to determine the temperature of the engine oil. The resistance of the engine oil temperature sensor will vary between approximately 30 kΩ or higher with the engine oil temperature is 0°C (32°F), and approximately 0.3 kΩ with the engine oil temperature is 155°C (311°F). Voltage measured at this point will vary as the engine temperature is changed

The engine oil temperature gauge displays the engine oil temperature using seven bars The meter CPU calculates the engine oil temperature based on signals from the engine oil temperature sensor via the direct line When the engine oil temperature becomes 140°C (284°F) or higher, all the bars blink and the warning message is displayed in the multi-information display.

      HINT.

      • If the circuit is open, the lowest bar blinks.
      • If the circuit is shorted, all the bars blink and engine oil temperature warning light comes on.

      HINT

      • The multi-information display shows "DIAG" when the engine switch is on (IG) (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE )
      • Diagnosis information can be displayed on the multi-information display after connecting a jumper wire between TC (J21-13) and CG (J21-4) of the DLC3 connector
  6. SATELLITE SWITCH
    1. By using the satellite switch (RH switch, ON/OFF switch, LH switch), 3 different switch functions can be displayed and changed (Tire pressure, Sonar*, AFS)
      • * w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System

      HINT

      • When the engine switch on (IG) while driving at 3 mph (5 km/h) or less, the switch except for SONAR can be displayed as shown in the illustration below
      • The switch functions displayed are changed in the order shown in the illustration using the satellite switch (RH switch, LH switch) The function can be set using the ON/OFF switch
