No. 2 Control Valve

  1. With engine at operating temperature, remove air cleaner and disconnect vacuum hose from water thermo valve to EGR valve at EGR valve. Disconnect intake manifold vacuum hose from vacuum amplifier at amplifier.
  2. Connect intake manifold hose to EGR control valve. Pinch hose, restart engine and run until engine idles smoothly. Release hose. Engine should stall or run rough. If idle does not change, clean or replace EGR control valve.
