IGNITOR Check

Remove igniter from distributor base. Make a tester using wire, a switch and a test bulb. Use a 12 volt bulb of less than 10 watts. See Fig 1. Quickly turn ignition on and off, and ensure test light flashes. If not, replace igniter.
