Testing with Digital Code Checker

  1. A Digital Code Checker (49 G018 9A0 ) can be used instead of, or in conjunction with voltmeter. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Connect digital code checker alligator clip to battery ground.
  2. Connect digital code checker to check connector. See Figure . Check for code number identification. If a code number is indicated, check appropriate CODE ILLUMINATION chart for cause of problem.
NOTE: The digital code checker buzzer will sound for approximately 3 seconds after the ignition is turned on.
