EGR Solenoid

  1. Disconnect hoses and blow through vent hose. Ensure air flows. Disconnect solenoid connector. See Fig 1 .
  2. Apply 12 volts to Violet/White wire connector of solenoid and ground both Red/Black wire connectors of solenoid. Blow through vacuum hose and ensure air does not flow. Replace solenoid if not okay.
  3. Blow through vacuum hose and ensure air does not flow. Apply 12 volts to Yellow/Red wire connector of solenoid and ground both Red/Black wire connectors of solenoid. Blow through vacuum hose and ensure air does flow. Replace solenoid if not okay.
