Visual Inspection

NOTE:
  • The ion sensor is built into the ignition coil. When replacing the ion sensor, replace the ignition coil/ion sensor.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
  2. Remove the ignition coil/ion sensor. (See IGNITION COIL/ION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Verify that there is no damage to the ignition coil/ion sensor, and no corrosion and damage to the connector.
