Function inspection
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Display the PID ECT2 and ECT2_VOLT. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION .)
- Compare the voltage indications for PID ECT2_VOLT and the temperature indications for PID ECT2 with the standards in the table indicated below.
- If they do not match the standard, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- If they match the standard, perform the resistance inspection. (See RESISTANCE INSPECTION .)
