Volume Airflow Meter

  1. Inspect all wiring, harnesses, connectors, and components for evidence of damage, overheating, shorting, or looseness. If any defect exists, repair as necessary.
  2. Inspect Volume Airflow Meter (VAF) for damage. Ensure measuring plate moves smoothly. Turn ignition off. Install BOB. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between BOB test pins VAF and SIGRTN. Voltage must be as specified in VOLUME AIRFLOW METER VOLTAGE table.
