WASTEGATE Actuator

  1. Remove wastegate actuator hose from turbocharger fitting. Attach Pressure Gauge (T79P-6634-A) to actuator hose. Apply 5 psi (.35 kg/cm2 ) and wait 2 minutes. If pressure drops below 2 psi (.14 kg/cm2 ) replace the assembly.
  2. With 5 psi (.35 kg/cm2 ) applied to wastegate, observe the actuator link and wastegate lever. The link should rotate the lever smoothly with pressure applied. If not, replace the assembly.
