Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Disconnect Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) connector. Check resistance across poles Nos. 2 and 3.
  2. As the throttle valve is slowly operated from closed to wide open throttle, watch meter. Resistance values should make a smooth transition from 500 ohms at closed throttle to 3000-6500 ohms in fully open position.
