Speed Advance Test

  1. Disconnect jumper wire from carburetor switch to ground. Start and run engine for 2 minutes. Raise RPM to specifications. Adjust timing light so basic timing is seen at timing indicator.
  2. Additional advance seen on timing light meter should be as specified. If not, replace computer and repeat test. If within specifications, proceed to next test.
