Installation Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC or RUN position.

  2. Connect the cable to the upper bracket.

  3. Connect the cable clamp.
  4. Shift the manual selector to Neutral.

  5. Using a small screwdriver, unlock the lock tab on the cable adjustment assembly (1).

  6. Install the park lock cable through the hole of the shift lever plate, then press the retainer into the shift lever plate.

  7. Connect the park lock cable to the shift lock lever.
  8. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the ACC or RUN position and the manual lever is in the Neutral position.
  9. Press the lock tab on the cable adjustment assembly.
  10. Check park lock cable for proper operation.
  11. Install the front floor console cover. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  12. Install the front floor trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  13. Install the instrument panel trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement .
  14. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  15. Install the bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
