Control unit function (coding/programming): Adaptation
NOTE:
Undeleted adaptation values result in rough shift operations in the transmission. The Tiptronic control unit needs a certain amount of time to replace existing values with new values.
Work to be carried out after replacing a control unit:
- Delete the adaptation values using the Porsche System Tester II No. 9588
- Teach the accelerator pedal
To teach the accelerator pedal:
- Ignition ON
- Press the accelerator pedal for at least 3 seconds
The accelerator pedal can also be taught while the vehicle is in motion, provided the accelerator pedal is pressed for at least 3 seconds. No indication is given that the teaching procedure is complete.
