Throttle Controls: Dashpot

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Connect tachometer. Adjust idle speed to specification. See ADJUSTMENTS article.
  2. Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM. Release throttle, noting time between release of throttle and return to idle. Deceleration time should be 3-5 seconds from contact of plunger.
