The principal use of the main instrument unit is to display:

1. Vehicle speed
2. Odometer and tripmeter readings
3. Engine speed
4. Coolant temperature
5. Fuel level
6. Turbo boost gauge
7. Warning and indicator lights

The main instrument unit calculates the following:

1. Tank level
2. Sums up and stores driven distance
