Sir Coil Assembly: Installation

  1. Route coil wiring down through column, and install coil to lever control switch. If installing original coil, remove tape from coil assembly before installing steering wheel.
  2. New SIR coil assembly is pre-centered and held in center position by Yellow tab. Remove Yellow tab, after steering wheel is installed, by pulling tab out through opening in steering wheel. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Activate SIR system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
