Steering Wheel: Installation

  1. Ensure front wheels are straight ahead. Remove Yellow tab or tape from coil assembly. Install steering wheel to steering shaft. Steering wheel and steering shaft have locating notches or flats, allowing steering wheel to be installed in one position only.
  2. Tighten new steering wheel nut to 30 ft. lbs. (41 N.m). To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Activate SIR system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
