Code 81: Abs Message Fault: Notes

The PCM receives messages from the ABS controller to activate the traction control system. When messages are not transmitted properly between ABS controller and PCM or incorrect information has been sent numerous times, Code 81 will set.

NOTE: The Data Link Connector (DLC) was previously referred to as the ALDL connector. This is the same connector.
