Intake Manifold: Removal
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
(See PRECAUTION )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE HARNESS (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE HARNESS BRACKET (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FUEL PIPE CLAMP (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE
- Using a union nut wrench, separate the inlet No. 1 oil cooler tube while holding the oil cooler tube union with a wrench.
- Using a union nut wrench, separate the outlet No. 1 oil cooler tube while holding the oil cooler tube union with a wrench.
- Remove the bolt and remove the oil cooler tube clamp.
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL GAUGE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the transmission oil level dipstick.
- Disconnect the breather hose.
- Remove the bolt and remove the transmission oil level gauge sub-assembly.
- REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Disconnect the 4 wire harness clamps.
- Disconnect the ventilation hose.
- Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the intake manifold and intake manifold stay.
