Air Cleaner Element: Replacement

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  2. Disconnect the connector from mass air flow sensor.
    • Non-turbo model

    • Turbo model

  3. Loosen the clamps (A) which connect the air cleaner case to intake duct. (Turbo model)
  4. Remove the clips (B) on air cleaner case.

  5. Remove the air cleaner case (rear).
  6. Remove the air cleaner element.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Fasten with a clip after inserting the lower tab of the case.

    • Refer to "COMPONENT" for tightening torque. 2.5 L non-turbo model
