Idle Switch Adjustment

Attach ohmmeter leads to idle switch terminals. See Figure . With carburetor removed, adjust primary throttle valve to obtain .014-.024" (.36-.62 mm) clearance between valve and throttle bore. During movement of throttle valve, ohmmeter indicator should move from zero to infinity. If not, bend idle switch adjustment lever down if clearance is below specification and up if clearance is above specification. See Fig 1 .
