Air Valve

CAUTION: DO NOT  allow water to contact any other portion of throttle body when immersing air valve in water.
  1. For exploded view of throttle body showing air valve, see appropriate THROTTLE BODY in N - REMOVE/INSTALL/OHAUL article in this section. To check air valve, turn engine off. Remove air valve cap.
  2. When coolant temperature is less than 140°F (60°C), air valve should be open. When coolant temperature is greater than 158°F (70°C), air valve should be closed. Install new air valve cap gasket when installing air valve cap.
