ECT Sensor Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
  2. Remove engine cover.
  3. Drain coolant, see COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING .
  4. Disconnect connector from ECT sensor.
  5. Remove ECT sensor (1) from water outlet cap.
