Initial Checks

  1. Check air intake system for cracks or restrictions. Inspect exhaust system for leaks or restrictions. Check for leaks or clogging between cylinder head and turbocharger inlet.
  2. Check air intake system and exhaust system for signs of oil leaks from turbocharger. Excessive carbon deposits on the turbine wheel may indicate leaking oil seals in the turbocharger. Replace turbocharger if oil seals are leaking.
