Fuel Cut Rpm: Inspection
- WARM UP ENGINE
Allow the engine to warm up to the normal operating temperature.
- CONNECT HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBD II SCAN TOOL TO DLC3
- Connect a hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool to the DLC3.
- Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST / ENGINE SPD.
- Please refer to the hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool operator's manual for further details.
- INSPECT FUEL CUTOFF RPM
- Increase the engine speed to at least 3,500 rpm.
- Use a sound scope to check injector operating noise.
- Check that when the throttle lever is released, injector operation noise stops momentarily and then resumes.

HINT:
Measure with the A/C OFF.
Fuel return rpm: 1,400 rpm
- DISCONNECT HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBD II SCAN TOOL FROM DLC3
