System overview: Function

The user can control the different central locking functions using:

• The key in the driver's door lock cylinder
• Remote control
• The switches in the driver's door module and the passenger door module
• The switch in the trunk lid handle (S60/S80 only)
• The switches in the center console
• Emergency lock cylinder in the trunk lid / tailgate (only S60/S80 and V70/V70XC with auxiliary rear facing seat)
• The switch on the control module for the light switch module for opening the fuel tank filler cover. Only applies to cars with a fuel tank filler cover remote switch.

The number of switches, lock cylinders, differs depending on the version of lock system.
